Required by my customer. I've used Panamax before and they haven't disappointed me yet. (knocks on wood) Bought two. Easy to set up. As I said, durable. I'll never understand the need for "switched" ports, but oh well. Plug in, turn on, release There's one small thing, but probably nothing to worry about. There is a small "hum" from the units. In a very quiet room and if you are very close to the device you can hear it. My devices are in closets and you'll never notice them in normal ambient noise. Just a note.
