Review on Organic Activated 🌿 Charcoal by MY Natural Infusions by Bre Marie

I've been using this sponge for a few weeks now and I'm very satisfied. I originally ordered this because I was concerned about the build up of bacteria in the cheap plastic loofahs. I usually use it and I know bamboo is antimicrobial. At first I was concerned that the charcoal would leave a black, powdery coating on my skin, but I was pleasantly surprised that water from the packaging went right through it. I was also concerned that the sponge would have to be soaked every time I wanted to use it. Not only is that not the case, the sponge softens almost immediately after getting wet prior to first use. Even if it hardens between uses, it only takes a few minutes to re-wet it. I was surprised to get more exfoliation from the smooth side of the sponge, which feels less absorbent than the ribbed side. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that because it's typically less absorbent than other sponges and washcloths, most of the soap sticks to the first few areas of my body that I wash, and I do so I don't always keep an even lather in the shower. I'm working on methods to mitigate this, but I've never had to think about it. Another issue is the price, which is a concern given the alternatives. While I haven't quite decided yet if I'll be ordering more if I need to replace this one, I suspect that now that I have a cheap plastic sponge I'll never be satisfied with a cheap plastic sponge. used it.
