My wife and I have cars (Ram 1500 and Kia Sportage) with smaller cup holders. We both like using large water bottles for travel and workouts. Not only does it fit securely in both installations, but it is also very stable. We bought 4; 2 for each car. Using Yeti mug works well with 2 grommets installed, better with 4; However, if you use a larger water bottle like us, the 2 tabs allow you to use both without having to reconfigure your device.
