I had a dock that I previously used that plugged into a USB 2.0 port. For some reason it would cause the computer to think it was overheating, and unexpectedly restart without warning. This obviously led to a lot of frustration at times. Once I figured out the old dock was the problem, I found this one, with the USB-C adapter, and it has worked seamlessly with my PC. No issues, no delays. I mostly use it for it's 3 screen display capabilities, and it required no software downloads, and setup easily through the standard display settings on my PC. No issues thus far.
