Works great for the price paid

I have to start buying this item through Revain stock deals, used but in new condition. When this package first hit my door I couldn't believe the size of the box. I didn't know how big this speaker really is, it seems a lot smaller than in real life, but it worked great in my area. One thing I noticed right away was that the Acoustic logo barely stuck. It's actually a good thing because it looks way better without it. There were a few scratches on the top and the laminate came loose on the top, since I bought it used I can't take the stars off the speaker myself. In terms of connectivity, it's pretty basic, just the usual red and black buttons. Connections. After that I was set up and on my way. I currently have a Pioneer 5.1 surround sound system with HDMI connections to Polk left and right speakers plus a subwoofer and RCA surround sound. While I would definitely describe my setup as a budget setup, I feel like I know quality sound when I listen to it, and I'd say there's "good" quality out there. I can only update budget by price and quality. So, if I can, I upgrade my speakers a bit every few years. This center channel is my first update (having not had a center channel) and this is my find. In movies and games, I could hear a wider sound field compared to no center channel, and voices are no longer lost in what's happening on screen. My surround sound system has Dolby music to feed my playlist to my system and the center channel makes all the difference in the world. The music is cleaner, the vocals are fuller and the sound field is much wider. It's worth noting that this speaker has no bass at all, so a decent 50Hz subwoofer (or 80 if your surround system doesn't support 50) is essential to round out the sound field. The dialogue sounds great on its own, but a bit of bass goes a long way. All in all, for $30 this is a great budget center channel speaker that sounds way better than any HTiaB setup. Thank you for reading and I hope I have helped you with your purchase decision!
