Although this infrared thermometer is designed for wall mounting, it works very well in the home. Comfortable to hold in hand. We had trouble with forehead thermometers. The non-contact scanning unit is ideal. We like the reading speed and ease of use. This device will probably be hanging on the wall in my wife's office. That's a good value.
