Review on Jabsco 17215-0000 Drill Pump Kit: Efficient and Versatile Solution for Fluid Transfer by Robert Rasmussen

I bought this pump to pump water out of my basement sump because my main sump stopped working. My backup battery pump took over and ran like a champ. However, the backup storage pump is located much higher in the sump and I didn't want to overload it with drain due to the recent heavy rains. Since I still had power, I didn't worry about the battery dying since it was running on house electricity. I knew there was a lot of water in the swamp that I could see, but I suspected that the pipes around the base of the house should also be filled with water since the water level was higher than the pipes entering the swamp. Anyway, I wanted to see if I could remove the accumulated water and get the water level down to almost zero. I ordered this mud pump after reading many reviews and decided to give it a try. From the moment I connected it to my variable speed electric drill, I knew I was succeeding. This Jabsco really worked without a primer and pumped exceptionally well. I pumped continuously for about 15 minutes and still haven't pumped all of the water out of the sump. I wanted my drill bit to cool before resuming work. However, this little miracle did what I was hoping for. I will have it handy for my next emergency - if I have the strength. My Zoeller primary pump has stopped working and I will try replacing just the switch and see if that solves the problem. For my purposes, this pump deserves 5+ stars.
