When I saw this and how it was meant to treat plantar fasciitis I had to try it. I'm happy to report that I experienced significant relief within an hour of taking it out of the box! The design of this ball and base is very suitable for my foot massage purposes. Rigid protrusions the size of a short finger help me find sensitive tissue and relieve pressure. The base (oddly with mounting holes) holds the foot massage ball well. Nice and stable on my carpet. It comes with a drawstring pouch which is nice for keeping it clean. Speaking of cleanliness, it seems to be quite durable and I think it cleans up well in the sink. I don't know if it works well in the dishwasher. I know it has many other uses besides foot massage, but that was my main concern when designing this little device. To say it exceeded my expectations is an understatement! For quick relief from my very painful and annoying plantar fasciitis, this massage ball/stand gets 5 solid stars from me.
