Review on PopSockets: PopGrip With Swappable Top For Phones &Amp by Don Barbee

A little flimsy for stand

Although there is a slot to support my large phone with one hand, other flaws interfere with everything else. The first major complaint is that it's too bulky when closed. It doesn't fit my existing phone mounts and I didn't want to spend another $10 on their custom mounts. 1mm the other way and I could put it in a car phone holder but it pops out of the side handles so I couldn't fit it in while driving. When I put it in the middle my NFC interferes in the middle of the back of my phone so I can't use Google Pay and when I have it in there it also interferes with the wireless charging pad I have. The second note is that it's so durable. I have a habit of fiddling with things in my hands, so I was constantly opening and closing the handle. It may have been a mistake as it got weaker after 3 days. While it wasn't a deal killer as I could still open and close it and it still acted as a handle and stand, I should mention this as the base where the plug and socket meet felt wobbly. (right behind the base and plug) and I wasn't sure how long it would take. The last major gripe was that it didn't slide smoothly into my pocket. It gets stuck on the edge of my pants pocket. While I usually hold my phone upside down, it doesn't work the other way around either as it only gets caught on the inside pocket of my jeans. Nothing I've done smoothed out the socket more and there was always enough slack left to get caught. This was remedied by stuffing it in the large pockets of my jacket, but when the weather warms up I usually stuff it in my pants pocket. Overall it works as advertised but in practice I was hoping it would be thinner.
