It seems to have done its job. That helped with exercise, but it's important for buyers to understand that this isn't a long-term solution and is only effective when worn. The velcro itches, especially when I sweat, and leaves red marks on the back of my knees. It gets a little uncomfortable on the back of my knee, but not as uncomfortable as my patellar tendinitis. The product is pretty average. What do you expect for the price. Not recommended for those who want to be very active and/or run long distances or sprints. In my opinion, it's better for low-level activities - jogging at best. I didn't need an adjustable strap but the idea seems like a good one
