Review on Adjustable Cat Tree House by TRIXIE Pet Products, Santander Edition by Nicole Her

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Love this scratching post on Activity Trees

I just like cat stuff that blends in, so I love these single poles that fit in the middle of my double window. My last was another signature blue which I wrapped in sisal and covered every step with brown carpet and it gave me 4 good years. This one seems sturdier than my previous one (the double legs and box on the bottom really add to the strength factor) and I love that it has a little cave and that it's under my window. This one has 5 uprights of equal length and one is a few inches longer, my longest is at the top due to the height of my window but you can always swap it right over the box part if you want so they get a few inches taller at the top they are all interchangeable. My last one used a spring loaded hold down device to hold it to the ceiling but the top of the rack ended up a good 6-8 inches below my ceiling as you can see this one is higher and up to my ceiling and what is provided , extending to the ceiling will never fit so I used a white round rubber washer and it sticks well to my ceiling. I wasn't sure based on the photos because I really didn't want a hard golden tan, a horrible color like the photos, but I was pleasantly surprised, it really is a light beige color, not like the photos at all. let it look Mine show what color it really is. Arrived here in about a week, took no time to assemble, required no tools or anything else that isn't included (other than a rubber washer which I found for my specific circumstances). I just measured my ceiling and it's exactly 8 feet, so this cat tree is an inch too small. The part they screw to the top gives you an extra 2 to 15 inches to fit snugly in the ceiling. If you have less than an inch and a half from ceiling to ceiling (like mine) you won't be able to use what they provide. If your ceilings are over 9ft 2in, this won't work for you. I screw my ceilings as tight as I can and that's 7ft 11 inches with no extension, you want it to be as tight to the ceiling as possible. can get it for stability, i find if you need to manipulate it like me it's best to use rubber so it doesn't slide on the ceiling when they jump on it. You can also leave any part of the post or step if you need to allow for a shorter ceiling height, this will still work. As I wanted to know the measurements before purchasing, here they are: Floor to top of cat cave/crate 27 inches. The thickness does not suit them at all, inside is the same carpet, no padding (I bought a 14 inch square seat cushion for inside so there is a bed and I can remove and wash it) 5 identical posts 15.5 inches 1 longer upright 19.5" each step is just under 2.5cm thick and measures 13.75" x 13.75". The base is slightly thicker than an inch and measures 15.75" x 15.75 ". The overall height is 7ft 11" - 8ft (depending on how narrow) the bottom step is turned to the right, the middle step is straight ahead and the top step is to the left because that's what I did with my old one, but this one Steps are square so they are shorter and thicker than my old wal-mart ladder it didn't give them enough tread to get down easily turning them left right left or right left right much more room to get down without clinging to the step with all your might Another recommendation, I have 4 rounds left Non slip furniture pads from the package that I received to keep my sofa from moving when someone sits down, I put them under each corner of the base and that makes it really durable and definitely not a hassle. move or slide, even if they aggressively jump on it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance
