The skates seem to be well made for the money. I bought these for my 3 year old. old granddaughter. I installed in a dual back configuration. The manufacturer used very cheap screws and shanks, most screws would not go into the shank without a cross thread, I thought it would be better to tap the threads but couldn't figure out the correct screw size. I've tried both Metric and SAE (I've got all the popular sizes of both, neither worked properly, and the very limited instructions didn't list any screw or thread size). The washers I was asked to use as spacers were of different thicknesses and left a gap between the rear wheels and the bracket holding the wheels, I had to buy the correct washers. I've seen the best performance of the three-wheel design on the Revain, but for a three-year-old to just stand and move slowly across the patio is an accomplishment. These skates will work just fine. Shoes are made of plastic, softer fabric, even plastic would be more comfortable. The adjustment function worked perfectly and the dimensions were perfect. For a small child who might not even like to skate these skates are fine for the money. If I find out that she gets proficient and really enjoys skating, I might buy her a better pair in the future.
