So far I've only had experience with two Zigbee motion sensors: Sonoff (https://amazon.com/gp/product/B08YJJN7W1) and this Philips Hue (thought I had a HomeSeer HSM200 (https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q59PBZE zwave is on its way to testing as it doesn't require batteries). I'll look again to compare. Sonoff is much cheaper. Both sensors were found with Hubitat, but Sonoff should be paired next to the Hub and Philips from another room. Sonoff uses a CR2450 button cell battery and Philips uses two regular AAA batteries (if I remember correctly). Sonoff requires that you pry off the plastic piece with a screwdriver, which: (1) may eventually break; and (2) it's a pain when the sensor is taped in place. Phillips has a screw base. Sonoff measures about 1" x 1" x 0.5". Philips is about twice that size. The Sonoff sensor looks like a dimpled golf ball, while the Philips has a smaller and IMO more attractive dome. For I'm attaching an image for comparison. Sonoff only has a motion sensor, while Philips has a motion sensor as well as temperature and brightness. The Philips temperature seems correct compared to my other thermometers. I'm not currently seeing any Philips Suite reports, but since I If I don't use this feature, I haven't debugged it to see what's going on. Both motion sensors are very sensitive (as good as the famous Lutron Caseta sensors, which I also use). I can't comment on the range, the app was only 10 feet from us. Sonoff emits a small reddish-orange flash when motion is detected. Philips has no distracting visual display. Sonoff only offers double-sided tape for attachment. The means if you don't build something you can only mount it on the wall. In contrast, Philips has a smart magnetic mount that lets you tilt the sensor and easily remove the sensor to change the battery. Both are rectangular blocks, so you can easily put them on a shelf. Philips has a configurable cool down time after a read, which is 10 seconds by default. Sonoff is fixed at 1 minute. That's a big deal. If you walk into a room, turn the light off manually, and then come back 11 or 59 seconds later, Sonoff won't turn the light back on, but Philips will. If you've never manually turned off the light, you can extend battery life by setting your Philips to cool more (up to 30 minutes). 2021.11.25 Update: The suite is up and running. Phillips flashes the LED when the battery is low.
