This is exactly what I needed. Reading other reviews I didn't see the point of replacing the drum so I decided to write this. I have black spots and streaks on my documents. I decided to replace the toner and clean the Brother printer and drum from the accumulated toner powder. Then I put the new toner back in the old drum and a few small spots turned into huge black spots. The blank pages looked awful. Stumbled upon a mention of replacing the drum by chance. Thought it might be worth a try instead of just replacing the printer. I put in a new drum with brand new toner and it was like night and day, literally. Perfect pages with no stains or streaks. Saved me from buying a new printer.
