VERSION 2020 AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL!

UPDATED DECEMBER 31, 2020: This radio has just been tested in the harsh Texas camping environment of extreme temperatures, dust, fog and low humidity during rainy spells and it worked one day and 70 two days in freezing temperatures flawless weeks. Another radio I had with me stopped working below 45F. I've been using D EBL batteries the whole time and they still last about 8-12 hours a day on a single charge when run on medium to high volume are used. CCrane has listened to customers and fixed bugs in the current 2020 EP PRO version. It smoothly adjusts in steps, with no false vocal peaks, no pops when the tuning LED flashes, and pops when on are greatly reduced to barely perceptible. Sounds great and the bass, treble and wide/narrow bandwidth controls are perfect for tweaking the sound. It has an AUX input to amplify your laptop or other devices and is very loud. The reception is fantastic. The radio is extremely sensitive in the AM band, making the radio susceptible to interference from other electronic devices. This is a problem that affects all high quality AM receivers. Newbies don't understand this. Visit Radiojayallen's website and read their article on how to deal with interference. If you live in an area with power outages, this is probably the perfect radio for that situation. In the event of a power failure, this radio allows you to receive both AM and FM signals over long distances. At night, AM signals travel hundreds of miles and almost any AM radio works well, but during the day the average radio here falls short, picking up only very strong local signals. The EP PRO is able to hear AM signals MUCH further during the day than 99% of radios sold and will hear muffled nighttime signals better and longer than most radios. In an emergency such as after a hurricane with power outage and damage to a local radio station's antennas, you can use this radio to listen to the AM signals from radio stations outside the damaged area for news and other information. This radio also has MUCH better FM reception than the average radio and I have no problem getting a New Orleans FM station 168 miles away! I live in a VERY rural part of Louisiana and this radio gives me nearly 70 FM stations! It's amazing! I will update my review if anything changes.
