VERY big for size

The size charts are a bit confusing so I decided to order 4T-5T for my daughter who usually wears a size 6. It was still huge even though I ordered a smaller size. I washed it in hot water to try to shrink it but it didn't shrink much. Instead all the seams were ripped and looked very cheap even after I ironed them. The back of the shirt is so much longer than the front that it looks out of proportion so I might repeat it in a different style.
