I bought this splitter when I upgraded my iPhone because they got rid of the AUX port but I need it to listen to music in the car. I bought new Apple certified cables, an AUX->iPhone for audio and a USB->iPhone for charging and this adapter hoping I could charge my phone while playing music in the car. The AUX->iPhone cable works for music and the USB->iPhone cable is charging. When I use this adapter, the charging function works, but the phone continues to use its own speakers and does not play music in the car. So my conclusion is that this adapter is not working. Damn. FUCK YOU APPLE WHY DID YOU TAKE MY AUX CONNECTION AND PACK THINGS.
