It's really just a small bag with a plastic lining. It doesn't have any flexible plastic between the padding or the round plastic tube at the top to keep it open to keep it in a sitting position when using it as a foot bath, so you need to be aware that it won't sink and the water does not escape. Bums, I paid $9 for this when I could honestly do it with my $1 reusable bags and just line them up with a plastic bag. And on top of that they sent me the wrong color. I didn't even get it. I bought green and they sent me purple. But I've tried, and as long as you don't fill it too deep and just enough for it to fully submerge your feet when the water soaks, it manages to hold the sides pretty decently, so I think it does the job .
