Review on Premium Lockable Magnetic Flap Pet Screen Door - Convenient & Secure Access for Dogs and Cats by Robin Crane

I love this cat door!

I AM A FAN! I installed this myself after being awake for 33 1/2 hours. I worked the 12-hour night shift and couldn't sleep when I got home. When the courier brought this, I decided to try it myself. I'm sick of leaving the screen door open for my kids because. Well it flies! and the flies always seemed to want to live in my bedroom as soon as they were allowed into the apartment. So I decided to try this. I already had a hole in the screen door (photo 1) so I wanted to cover it up. my door. Look, I haven't slept. it was so lazy. Step 1 said to remove the door. This seemed like a lot of work to me, so I figured I could attach this thing with the door I still have. So my step 1: lift one side of the frame to where you want it, slide the screw through the hole on the frame and through the screen. First I made the top right hole. Then I glue the back of the frame. My knee was somehow holding up the bottom of the inside of the frame. Connect them together and tighten the screw on the outer frame. Boom. a screw. Of course, the frame dangled very wobbly. I wasn't worried. Holding the inner frame where I wanted it, slipped the second screw through the other handle on the top of the frame. Lift the outer frame and insert a screw, insert the screw and tighten. I haven't gotten into tightening yet. I just wanted the frame to stay in place. I was NOT able to put the two frames together (yet). I repeated the same on the sides. First top right, then left, and so on. Work around the frame. Sometimes I couldn't push the screw through so I put the screw in from the outside and pushed in and it worked. I ended up with about 5 in and 5 screws. Once the frame was up I took a knife and cut out the screen. This is easy to do with a cutter knife. At this point I was able to sew the frames together! Then I tightened all the screws in the studs. The inner door was easy to bend and put in place! Super easy! looks very strong. Cats aren't sure at this point, BUT I know they can. I sort of guided them through the first few times and showed them that their heads could open the door. Then I played with them a bit, pushed open the door and lured them in from the other side with toys. The final test was to take the boy outside and his morning meal inside. He loves his food! I put it down and he looked at me like, "HEY LADY, you're being mean!" and then I left the room for a minute. When I came back he was chewing on his food so he can't deny he knows how to use the door. :D :D :D I'm happy about this beloved door! If it doesn't hold up or falls apart I'll update this review with a comment. If I don't comment again, you know the door is rocking our world. I can imagine having to tighten the screws/bolts from time to time.
