I had 4 of these and each worked great for 2 years until that 'preprogrammed' failure day came. Yes, you read it right. I firmly believe this box has an expiry date programmed in! Here's what happens: After 2 years of normal use, when the battery dies, I try to charge it, but after an hour or more the little green battery indicator shows no charge. I unplug it and then it immediately freezes on the "Charging" screen and doesn't do anything else. As a former electronics engineer, I've learned a few tricks, so I decided to power reset this thing. I carefully pry open the case with a tiny flat head screwdriver, cut the RED battery wire and leave it for a minute or two. Then I plug it back in (solder) and magically the little green battery light is fully charged and I'm online. Main menu. (Come on, tell me it's not programmed)! Most people don't know how to do it, so they just throw it away, which is what the manufacturer wants. That's why I said it's a great little device when it works.
