I got the hat for my son who is 4 years old. It is processed cleanly and the motif is quite nice. It is a soft material at the top and also at the back. Only at the front of the peaked cap is something firmly sewn in. Seams are all clean. The hat didn't stink. But it fits my son very well. That means next year at most, then it will be too small. But pray for good sun protection in kindergarten or on the beach. My recommendation, the right size fits better with the smaller specifications. If the child is already in the upper range, it is better to go one size bigger.
