This is real marine life, the picture on Amazon seems to be deceiving. They are very soft and don't need to be broken in. However, they don't seem to fit. I'm my normal size 7 and my sock almost touches the toe but they kinda flap across the width. And I have wide feet so I buy shoes from w when it's available. I think it's a bit awkward that they're on the shorter side (still doable, I have room-width hair lol) but they're really wide. I think the insole will lift my foot and solve the problem so I'll keep it. I would recommend them if you're willing to shell out $7 for an insole because they're comfortable.
