Review on 🚲 Muc Off Bio Drivetrain Cleaner: A 500ml Biodegradable Bicycle Chain Cleaner Spray for All Bike Types by Ron Long

I have mountain bikes. Suitable for pre-packaged degreasing spray. Details shine and leave no residue after cleaning and rinsing with water. Not too much discomfort when it blows in your face. The atomizer is odd, producing a very fine fan-shaped mist. This makes it difficult to land on the chain unless you are on top. In addition, the bottle is well sealed, so the atomizer creates a vacuum and sucks the walls of the green daylight bottle. You often have to unscrew the cap to remedy this, otherwise the spray flow and performance will suffer. I usually buy Performance Bike Degreaser Concentrate and make batches in whatever ratio and concentration I need. It's color safe if you wash it off. I typically never spray anything other than Simple Green or WD40 (yes, WD40) on my drivetrain while the components are still on the bike. My bikes don't get dirty and I don't wait until they're dirty to clean them. Only if sandy or heavily soiled. Anyway, I rebuilt a 25 year old Trek 930 steel frame bike in blue and a 30 year old Specialized Hardrock in black. DO NOT LEAVE THIS MATERIAL ON YOUR PAINT or you will regret it. There are dull spots. Maybe it's dry? If there is grease or oil on the surface, this Muc Off will sink it into the paint surface creating iridescent streaks. I had to rinse like crazy, wash with dish soap and buff with car wax/cleaner to hide the evidence. To be fair, you should always polish your bike cover twice a year. Those bikes, who knows? I doubt the wax would have prevented any artifacts caused by that degreaser. BE CAREFUL! It's a good strong degreaser and they don't say to spray on the paint so it's not their fault. There are tons of degreasers out there, look around. If you've just used a degreaser for the first time, please don't praise it just because your parts shine instead of paying attention to the details. There are probably four to ten other products that work the same way, work better, or do no harm. Many Thanks.
