Great alternative to surgery

Our doberman pinscher tore ligaments in his back left leg a few months ago and after our vet billed us over $300 for x-rays he broke my husband the bad news that she was supposed to have $4,000 surgery. Unfortunately, even though we love it to death, our budget can't handle this expense. When we asked the vet what would happen if we didn't, he said she would be fine, but she could have arthritis. I wasn't at the front desk but my husband called me and I asked him to check. We thought about it but were inclined to decline. So we searched the internet for alternatives and predictions in case we don't have them operate. I found these braces and looked at the reviews. It wasn't too expensive and I thought it was worth a try. Typically, we kept her activity to a minimum for a month and started with this brace. I ended up going for two sizes, but I'm glad I went with the smaller one. It didn't take long for her to get used to it and she walks a lot better with it! She actually gets cocky when she's online, but we're keeping an eye on her. Our other Dobie was getting restless as she was his main playmate so he was very happy to see her and so much more. The only thing that bothers me is that it slips off her from behind, so you have to correct her every now and then. Since she has a trimmed ponytail and short hair, she's probably more prone to slipping, but not sure. too soon but we have been walking her for the last 2 weeks and she is so much better! I highly recommend trying this if your dog has issues with the bands. Our dog is only 4 years old so we hope this will help her in the long run if needed.
