I wasn't tall enough for my long necklaces. They puddled on the bottom, making them difficult to turn and too stout to fold in half to hang. The base is made in the form of a cap. I found a tall glass of the right diameter and height to elevate the frame. Painted it black to match. I love my new chain stand. Now it's so easy to find the right necklace and not get confused. He holds many necklaces. I often forgot some of mine because they were in boxes. Now I just rotate the holder and find what I need. Remember to balance the load if it's a bit uneven.
