So my daughters have to wear uniforms in public school. They are 8 years old, one is in the 50th percentile for height, the other is in the 89th percentile for height, both are thin for their height. The taller twin sister in the long sleeve polo is currently wearing a size 10 french toast, her short sleeve polo is a size 8 french toast, she needs a size 10 in a long sleeve shirt to keep the sleeves long enough. I like to be ahead of the curve, so I came across two brand new Gymboree long sleeve polo shirts on eBay for $4.99 each in a size 12 and figured I'd up the size for a larger twin when it's done with French Toast 10s . I was wrong, they are the same size as French Toast 10s. When I saw this shirt I was dying to try it on, it says a size 10-12 so I was hoping it would fit her next year when she is 9 years old. smaller twin when she is 9 years old. I have compared this original branded long sleeve polo to Gymboree size 12 and French Toast size 10 and all three are the same size in terms of sleeve length and body length with a slight difference in width. Bodysuit (Gymboree is 100% cotton so unfortunately they shrink). But in terms of low mileage, at least the Genuine is not alone. This real shirt is a blend so I don't have to worry about it shrinking which is nice. The buttons are flower-shaped, which we all love here, but then again, French toast has flower-shaped buttons. This shirt feels soft to the touch, unlike the pure cotton Gymboree t-shirts which are almost itchy (I hope that changes after washing the Gymboree). The long sleeve french toast polo is also a 60/40 cotton/poly blend but I have to say this real polo is not as thick as the french toast. I know this shirt is less than a tag, but then again, Genuine isn't alone here. I love that this shirt has a ribbed cuff on the sleeve, we've never done this style for girls hoping their sleeves don't get so messy. soft non-shrinking blend but not as thick as other brands, the size is small, this would definitely not fit a 12 year old, probably an 11 year old, and none of my girls even if they are 10 years old would do it Only buy original if they are much cheaper than french toast
