I'm working on a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. I tried THREE different interfaces before using this one and this is the ONLY one that worked. First I tried the CRUX brand interface for this truck. It worked the first time, but not the next day. I had to turn off and restart the truck, after that everything worked, but while driving the noise stopped. Had replaced it with the same key interface and had the exact same problem. Then I bought Metra's AXXESS brand, used Metra's CHTO-013 model. I wasn't aware that the steering wheel control is NOT part of the interface so I had to order their steering wheel control module separately. Everything after installation. The interface seemed to work, but after about 20 minutes the noise from the back went away and then got louder on its own. It was very annoying. Ripped out that interface and installed that proprietary PAC interface. This time I read carefully and made sure that the steering wheel controls are included in the UI. Pac's proprietary interface worked and continues to work great. What a waste of my time and money and hair pulling with these other brands. If only I knew. I hope this helps someone so they don't have to go through all the headaches that I went through.
