Perfection out of the box in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler

Flawless victory when installed in my 2016 Wrangler Sport with a "standard" (non-Alpine) audio system. Aftermarket head unit: Atoto S8 (S8G2B74PM) for that somewhat disappointing but clean Android experience. .Using an external amplifier for the internal speakers and another for the subwoofer so the RP4-CH11 is not used for audio but the setup of the SWC was with this main unit (PAC set to 'Other') with the 3.5mm jack.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • So far so good

DOES NOT WORK ON EUROPEAN CARS

Installing this on a European car will force the car language to German. And it is absolutely impossible to change it again. This forces speech on all vehicle interfaces, even audio. If you manage to change it in the settings, it will switch back to German after a few seconds. This is a known issue, if you just google "RP4-CH11 English" there are tons of reports and all support basically says "not our problem".

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • No performance

I almost gave up until I bought this SWC module!

After installing a Pioneer head unit on my 2007 Dodge Nitro I wanted the Steering Wheel Control Module/Interface (SWC) to retain the factory steering wheel stereo controls. After installing two different SWC modules that didn't work even after asking tech support for help, I finally got one of them working. PAC RP4-CH11 RadioPro4 came to my rescue! After following the instructions and making all the necessary connections, the steering wheel controls worked flawlessly with the new head unit. I…

Good product! Installation was very easy if you have.

Excellent product! Installation was very easy if you have done car audio before. Note that the 2006 Dodge Charger with the premium sound pack only has 2 audio inputs for the amplifier. So you can't fade an aftermarket stereo front to back. Not knowing that I connected that harness to the radio harness as instructed. I had an issue with Bluetooth phone calls on my new radio and found the calls only played through the front speakers. I noticed that there are 2 channels coming out of the PAC…

Ok but disappointing.

Installed on my 2012 Ram 2500 Diesel. All in all, the adapter works well and does what it is supposed to do. The steering wheel controls worked great and the ignition and parking brake cables worked (most of the time). The first issue I had was the reverse signal wire being triggered when the diesel exhaust was turned on, causing my head unit to show the rear view camera. Well, I use the exhaust brake all the time, so that's a problem. I contacted PAC tech support and they immediately provided…

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Cable shorter than other picks

This interface works!

I'm working on a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. I tried THREE different interfaces before using this one and this is the ONLY one that worked. First I tried the CRUX brand interface for this truck. It worked the first time, but not the next day. I had to turn off and restart the truck, after that everything worked, but while driving the noise stopped. Had replaced it with the same key interface and had the exact same problem. Then I bought Metra's AXXESS brand, used Metra's CHTO-013 model. I wasn't aware

  • Best in Niche

  • Not sure

Impeccable work, simple instructions and light disguise.

Uses this interface module for 2010 Volkswagen Routan. The guide was great and explained things well. As a replacement, I used a Jensen VX7020 head unit. Once you have the installation instructions for the interface and the radio side by side it will be very easy. not mandatory. For me the radio had a wire for each interface wire except for the speed sensor. Since the radio was a GPS-enabled navigation device, it recorded its own speed. Some radios that don't support GPS/Navigation can show…

Does what it's supposed to do but the included instructions are misleading

I preferred using this unit rather than purchasing the wiring harness and steering wheel control kit separately. Not sure if this was the best solution as it was a bit more expensive and came with a second wiring harness which is not compatible with my car, but it ended up doing what I needed to hook up the Atoto A6 . Head unit for my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. There were a few points in the installation guide that I found misleading, at least on the Atoto A6: 1) The SWC harness has a 3.5mm jack

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Operating speed
