After installing a Pioneer head unit on my 2007 Dodge Nitro I wanted the Steering Wheel Control Module/Interface (SWC) to retain the factory steering wheel stereo controls. After installing two different SWC modules that didn't work even after asking tech support for help, I finally got one of them working. PAC RP4-CH11 RadioPro4 came to my rescue! After following the instructions and making all the necessary connections, the steering wheel controls worked flawlessly with the new head unit. I almost gave up on this feature before installing it. My only regret is that I didn't buy it first. Advantages: 1. You do NOT need a separate wiring harness! It is integrated into the module.2. Works out of the box with no additional programming.3. No need to cut into the factory radio wiring! 4. You can remap the buttons as you like. Cons: Although the instructions are fairly basic, it can be a little tricky if you're not used to installing car audio hardware.
