Just a warning for those who have cut off the end of the adapter and tried to use it directly with the individual cables for an OBD radio or maestroRR or something similar to connect that. At least my wires were the wrong color. For the Maestro, you need pins 6 and 14, which are green/brown/white striped in traditional wiring. In the end it was a green and a black and white wire that worked. In this product's wiring they were in the correct order 1-16 but didn't have the correct colors so just take the wire in order of number and ignore the colors. I wish the documentation somewhere in the documentation said which pen = which color, but I had to decide by trial and error.
