I bought this on purpose because I couldn't find a Type-C USB drive that had enough storage and a fast enough write speed for my Honda dashcam and smartphone decreed. I'm happy to say that this SSD performs well. All I had to do was format the drive (I use a laptop and an Android smartphone), add folders called hondacam and cellphoto and then plug it into my car or smartphone, it works great. The total usable space on the 500GB SSD before backup is 499.76GB. It's a lot smaller, thinner and lighter than I expected. It conveniently hides in my wallet.
