It's just a blockbuster. Or so I thought. Nothing prepared me for the truth. Do you remember 1995? I remember it a little bit. Irony was the lot of artists, not memes. When you said the word perseverance, people still thought of John Wayne and not school programs. Modernity has only partially wiped us out of itself, there was almost no internet. There were no social networks anywhere, we still communicated with each other like humans. It was a simpler time before we were all cyborgs, but also a time of widespread ignorance. As before, I found this shovel. But even in 1995, AOL was king. America went online, but few knew what that meant. Nobody could predict where he would go. The advent of the internet was one of those earth-shattering moments that changed everything. Like a few weeks ago when I ordered this scoop. When it arrived, it wasn't packaged in one of those matte, sleek boxes you get with Apple products. But it wasn't the packaging that bribed me. Just a scoop in a thick paper sleeve. It looked like any other shovel, or so it seemed. If you're holding a shovel, don't expect much. 2019, 1995, 1975, it doesn't matter. It doesn't look like garbage collection technology has gotten that far in 30 years. But then I used THIS shovel. You've probably used shovels your entire life and never thought about what's too narrow or too wide, the bristles too long or too short, the stiffness of the brush, the angle of the handle, or anything else. You took a random shovel, maybe farm rubbish, that came with your broom and rolled it. But OXO had another idea. They set out to revolutionize the shovel, and they did it. Remember when you used a plastic or metal dustpan where you could only brush off about 80% of the material while letting the rest slide underneath? Say goodbye to that. This shovel has a rubber edge that is quite durable and flexible. It touches the surface, follows the form and captures everything. As you brush across the floor, the bristles are so soft and gentle you hardly notice them touching, but an inch or two of flex is just right. So you know it's time to keep it steady while you're pulling. Result? No protruding bristles. No trampoline hopping throwing your crumbs across the room. I could go on. The grip angle is just right. The way the brush is placed in the pan is similar to the German technique. I've never had a bad experience with it. Not once. It's a pleasure to use and I mean it. Bad day? Complete your cleaning session with this brush and you will never lose these cleaning supplies. I thought it was just a brush. I wasn't ready for this. This is a brush. But also a lot more. Five.
