Works great although I haven't had to save it yet. I don't plan on hitting any holes any time soon, but it seems well done. I hope I don't have to figure out how well this works in the real world, but it looks like it's going to work fine. It's a bit heavy to carry around and carry on your back unless you're working very far from the main coil. I wish I had gotten a longer reel but for the price this 11ft reel seems like a good buy. . The retractable cable moves smoothly and sticks strongly when snapped. The kit included a carabiner to attach to a dead body, but I bought it anyway. I wish I hadn't but $10 ain't that bad.
