DO NOT use this without the attachment/guard unless you want to bleed. I made the mistake of using it as it is for a small bikini trim (like I did with a similar Remington trimmer) and it tore my skin. I don't have sensitive skin and I don't usually have to worry about these things, but this thing has sharp teeth. I have long, stabbing scratches that bleed profusely that I'll have to deal with for a few days to heal. The trimmer cuts my hair well, but if it leaves more than 5 identical bleeding lines on my skin with each use if it's not at the perfect angle, I'll have to find something else. My Remington was perfect, I had to buy another one.
