So light boots are a must for any horse owner whose horse has lost a hoof, sometimes needs a hoof binding or has a horse whose legs need protection only occasionally, i.e. almost completely us. The problem with most lightweight boots is how to hold them on the horse's hooves. These boots work great - not only do they have a zip closure as usual but they also have velcro around the ankle which keeps the boot perfectly on the horse. Make sure the boots are on properly as they can move if they are too big and cause the horse to walk and you push off if they are too small and tear the heel bulbs.
