Well I bought this for a 3 year old who is still in the realm of random potty training accidents - we wanted a pair of pants that she would be easy to put on and could undress from over panties. However, they are more like pantyhose than leggings, they are fitted in every way - the waist, the ankles, the fit around the leg, everything is tight against the skin. I even went up the size for my toddler and while I had more length to work with, the fit was still a lot tighter than their other brand leggings. We still use her, but I don't send her to daycare and I have to remind the adults in the house to help her get dressed and undressed when she wants to go to the bathroom. However these pants are very cute and they appear to be well tailored with a good balance of softness and stretch, I just wish they were a little more stretchy or roomy in their construction. Or simply advertise them as really opaque tights, one way or the other. We tried the next size up, the waist is bigger, the legs are longer, but the fit is still snug against the skin across the hip, yoke, thigh and all the way down to the ankle.
