I don't know how well this cream prevents stretch marks because it smelled so bad I sent it back. I tried to deal with the smell but my husband (who has asthma) was on the brink of death by the time we went to bed that night. To us it smells like a citronella candle, which is not very pleasant. If you can get rid of the smell, that might work great. And this product contains wheat which was another downside as I have celiac disease. On a positive note, the sugar scrub left my skin feeling very soft and not overly scented.
