This is a great idea that could do a lot with simple software. The problem is that when you turn it on with the remote control, it takes off in a hurry and has to slowly pick up speed. You also need a smooth surface to work with. Otherwise, every little bump will cause the camera to twitch proportionally. Still, it's better than nothing, but maybe not as good as I could do by hand. If you have a microphone, also record any engine noise it makes. which is significant. So if it's something alive, it's not a very good solution.
