I worked there 3 years as an account manager for sales development/fund raising in Central New York (CNY). My title was "Sales Development Representative", it was my job to develop relationships with donors that would end up becoming members or volunteers at our organization; however due to budget cuts this position was eliminated leaving hundreds without employment opportunities within CNY. I like that they were able to come up with creative ideas for my non profit. I also liked that they worked well as a team and they always made me feel comfortable. I did not like that they would ask for money upfront. I think it was very important to me to be able to get some sort of payment back if the event was successful. They helped with many different aspects of our organization. They helped with fundraising, marketing, social media, website design, etc.
