I used to use Downey fabric softener to add that fresh scent that lingers on clothes for a while after washing. But the fabric softener seems to have made my towels less absorbent. Also, they could not be used to clean items such as mirrors because they left a hazy appearance after fabric softener. In other words, the clothes and rags themselves didn't feel particularly clean. Also, the scent didn't last long. But these pearls leave no trace at all, but a BIG taste! The lingering scent is sooo fresh and clean! I just love it. I wish it was a little cheaper. But you can use it sparingly for certain workloads and more intensively for things that are more important to you. So you can actually stretch it to get the most bang for your buck. And most importantly, the scent lasts for several months! Put that sweater in a drawer and you'll still smell that freshness in three months. Oh, it smells so clean.
