So I bought two identical plungers for my vanity, kitchen sink and bathtub. (which we already have. So we bought this little powerhouse!) Although both it and its competitor are slightly larger than our vanity faucet, this plunger was easier to maneuver around the faucet while still maintaining excellent suction. This plunger has had limited success with our bathroom and kitchen sinks but I think it has to do with kitchen grease/food and bath conditioner/shaving foam/hair so it's not the plunger's fault! ;-) I was expecting the old school to be better, see photos, but to my surprise, this medium-sized plunger was easier to maneuver and had stronger suction, especially in our sink. I'm not sure how that makes any physical sense at all, as at first glance this guy's rubber part seemed too big to properly seal the drain of our small, cramped, steeply sloping sink. But somehow the rubber part was able to adjust to the incline and got a super strong seal that kicked up a lot of nasty slimy stuff (well documented by other buyers) that unfortunately dissipated on contact. (I had a few inches of water in the sink as recommended, so the rubber part was mostly covered in water; I think some people who didn't have success might have had too little water over the plunger.) I was expecting it Pull out a hair or a cap of toothpaste or whatever as I didn't think the mucus could cause a full blockage but apparently it can! Disgusting, isn't it?!? I chose the method of burying the slime, using a plunger as a stopper to prevent the slime from sliding back down the drain, and then using a small pyrex glass bowl with the other hand to scoop out the transient bits cancel. and pour it down the toilet to flush it. It was like trying to catch phantom tadpoles, which kept disintegrating into smaller and smaller iterations of themselves, but after 5 or 10 minutes, enough slime was cleared from the drain pipe for the bowl to drain immediately and completely. Yet again. So for that success alone, this flask was worth the small amount I paid for it. In addition, the handle was more comfortable to use and seemed to control both angle and force much more delicately than the plain wooden handle. Model. Everyone has a different clogging situation so this guy may not unclog every clog, but he did an amazing job on our bathroom sink to ensure it becomes a regular part of our cleaning arsenal. And no doubt any plunger can flip and splash dirty water in one's face, as some buyers have experienced, but I was very careful to stay away and not dive too aggressively and this plunger never clicked on me. So thanks again. All in all a GREAT purchase!
