Review on humangear capCap for Parents by Kevin Williams

The Hydro Flask Cap is the most economical solution

I have had this cap for about 1 month of intensive daily use and have had no complaints so far. Unfortunately I've spent a lot of money looking for the right cap so I'm writing this review so maybe someone else doesn't have to go through this. Here are the caps I tried: Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Flip Lid + Jug Lug for a whopping $10.50. Very poor water flow. This turns a quick sip of water into a labour-intensive job. The jug's tab sits loosely under the lid, so there's still some spillage when reloading with ice water. Camelbak Durable Chute Cap $7.00 This lid fits the Hydro Flask with no leaks, as long as you remove the strap that holds the lid in place. The problem is that after about 2 weeks of use, the spout lid no longer fitted properly and started leaking. Humangear Capcap $6.00 Fits Hydro Flask with no leakage without modification. Get a nice sip of water quickly and easily. The loop of the spout closure serves as a carrying handle for the drinking bottle. Another reviewer pointed out that they really stand by their product, which really makes the lid a winner! I'll update this review if the lid starts to bother you; However, I hope this never happens. ***Update*** Now March 23, 2017. After 1.5 years of daily/nightly use, which I always carry with me, the cap still stops leaks in my HydroFlask and still makes it easy to swallow water. Most of the time I drink well before the ice in my HydroFlask melts so I can easily add water through the top cap. These are the people of Ice Water Utopia. Waking up in the middle of the night with a quick sip of cold ice water has never been so easy or enjoyable for me. The price has gone up a bit since my initial review, but assuming they don't go down the low road and cheapen the product, it's still pretty good value. In fact, the same cap is now on the second Hydro Flask. My brown one broke down and was replaced with a cobalt blue one under warranty as they don't tan anymore. However, TMy Capcap is no worse to wear, apart from a few scuffs. I suspect I'll screw it onto my third hydroflask someday.
