I'm not usually the type of reviewer, but I'll do it here. My lower back hurts, and even simple dusting becomes a chore for me as I have to constantly stretch and bend over. I just opened it up today (yes today!) and immediately got to work cleaning years of cobwebs from my high second floor ceiling that was COMPLETELY out of reach of even a vacuum extender. But thanks to the retractable handle, it was easy. Then I removed the handle and quickly brushed the dust off the furniture. If you have lower back pain at all, buy this NOW! It's worth it and while of course I can't comment on its durability or washability, it's worth the money. The only SMALL gripe is that there are no washing instructions etc, but if you look at the reviews and answers posted here you've already answered that question. (But still. A little note about washing in the box will be useful in the future! :-)) VERY good product and worth the money!
