Not removable. You have to buy new equipment.
If detachable means the bolts are loosened and removed, then yes, it's detachable like everything else on the bike. The original parts on the bike are not long enough to accommodate the brackets so be prepared to buy new ones as these are not included. The bolts they include to attach the stem to the bracket are nowhere near big and look like crap because about an inch of thread sticks out. None of the hardware is stainless steel, so it will rust the first time it gets wet.
