Attaches directly to my '97 Harley Davidson XL883 Hugger. It's a little unconvincing. But good for attaching a sissybar bag.

It seems well assembled, but the fittings were only half and the holes for the back were not even drilled, they were in a hurry to pull out the unfinished product.

Very good sissy bar. The back cushion is cheap junk but I have my own, just bought it for the bar. The big problem was that the holes in the sissy bar didn't line up with the holes in the brackets. spent 2 hours re-drilling the holes in the rod for the brackets. For a cheap sissy bar I like it, I just want the holes to match.

I like how thick it is. Made of solid round material. The welds were gold (IE perfecto). However, I refuse to install this on a Sportster and will instead install it on a 2004 Suzuki Volusia VL800. It was necessary for long distance travel and tying crap to my bike. YMMV but if you want an awesome CHROME bar then this is it my friends.

Well, this installation was just a nightmare! First I open the box and find that the holes on the right side are not drilled at all! I asked my buddy to drill all the holes and see what I can salvage. As a result, I gave up the braces and made new ones. Its quality don't get me wrong but I don't think it's worth the time.

If you are unsure whether to buy this sissy bar stop arguing and buy it, very durable and high quality, the price fits my iron 883 2010 like a glove, the only downside is the too far protruding screws but i changed them to some black shorter ones also this rod is perfect and looks amazing and i love the picture on the pillow i don't know why people didn't go for these, love them it!

If detachable means the bolts are loosened and removed, then yes, it's detachable like everything else on the bike. The original parts on the bike are not long enough to accommodate the brackets so be prepared to buy new ones as these are not included. The bolts they include to attach the stem to the bracket are nowhere near big and look like crap because about an inch of thread sticks out. None of the hardware is stainless steel, so it will rust the first time it gets wet.

, I know the sissy bar is not meant for this bike...I know I don't ride a chopper...I know starter tuning is a waste of money. But hey, I'm a small person, this is one of the few bikes that a small woman can ride and I love my small bike... so I'll do what I want... very easy to assemble and put together. .. i like the height and the look (only with the steering wheel, not the seat cushion)... the screws are a bit long but that's ok.
