* See the second update at the bottom of the review * Very comfortable knee pads - most I've used move and the straps tie behind the knees. These don't move at all and the straps stay just above and below the knee to the point where they don't bind. They held up admirably considering they were plasma cut the first night and were therefore kneeling on molten metal. As an added bonus, they won't let spatter in and cause the filling (or your knees) to catch fire. *After the second night of welding, the plastic housings will begin to loosen at the pivot points. I have concerns about their durability, but I'll have to leave that judgment behind until I can use them more. I'm looking for those that might better suit my needs. I'm not sure I'll have any luck with this assignment - these might be the best. Update: After almost 2 months of abuse, they are no weaker than the end of the second night. They have a lot more burns but they are holding up VERY well. The seal fits perfectly and shows no signs of wear. Appearance takes all insults as it should. I will buy them again once they finally die!
