Okay, I'm here to give you an honest opinion. These shoes are for water. No hiking shoes, no shoes for walking the dog or shoes for daily walks. These shoes are designed to protect your feet from rocks, sticks, sediment and other hazards in rough and fast water. I personally use these kayaks so my legs don't snap when I get my kayak out. They make me feel like I have a secure footing and nothing big will go through my feet and I would recommend them to others but they are said to have flaws. The large drainage holes on the side help the water drain away quickly, but I found I have a lot of small rocks, which isn't very pretty. I will also have to get used to the size of the shoes and they are good quality but I don't know how long they will last. I hope my review helped clear things up as many people use them as hiking shoes for some reason.
