Cylinder is just over 1/4" thick and 1 5/8" in diameter. 1/16" and centimeters on the other side to the nearest millimeter. I compared the measurements to my architect's ruler and they measure US inches and centimeters as accurately as I could see. When the tape is pulled out, it automatically stays open the length you pulled out.The little button tucks away and feels nice.It's something on my keychain that I only use a couple of times a month - when I'm in the store and comparing two things or the measurements So I'm assuming these three will last a long time.
