Mechanically the device is very solid and although it's plastic the locking mechanism feels solid and hasn't moved in several hours of driving. The "click" is loud enough that all the components seem strong enough to last. I thought with Apple CarPlay I would never need an accessory to hold my phone, but I really enjoyed having 2 screens at my disposal, especially when navigating. I've tried it on 2 cars, both worked great. It does the job, looks well built, and is a lot cheaper than what I would pay if I bought it at a brick and mortar store. Definitely recommended!
