I have thick, long, wavy hair. This is a monster of infinite responsibility. He's picky about his shampoos, how he combs his hair, and the tools I use on him. For the past twenty years I've used a wide-tooth promotional comb that I received for free during freshman orientation week in college circa 1997. The logo is long gone, but the crest survived. However, I noticed that my hair often "broke" when using it. I've seen tiny inches of hair rain down during grooming. It wasn't the best quality - it was cheap plastic and had molding combs on my teeth which I believe were responsible for my hair catching and breaking. My long haired partner had a problem of his own. He came out of the shower with his hair disheveled and left it there until it dried into a mess, then came over to help me comb it out. I used my trusty old wide-toothed comb, but it also "cut" his hair and he worried about it more than I did because his hair was becoming sparse and thinning. So I decided to buy a comb. . I stumbled across this hairbrush and thought it looked nice and solid. I was looking for quality. Something with good balance and very smooth teeth with no burrs left over from production. Since we both needed combs, I bought two packs. Imagine my surprise when these combs appeared. To be honest, I wasn't expecting the quality it offered. This is a good strong smooth comb. It appears to be higher quality plastic without the bad smell of lower quality plastic. I love the hole in the base of the handle - I hang my comb in the shower to comb my wet hair before going out. My partner LOVES it. He doesn't have any more tangled hair, and now that he's got this comb, he doesn't need my help anymore. I liked this comb so much that I bought another one. I don't know why I put up with my fucking comb for so long. I should have bought this comb much sooner.
